Wilma Foster, 96, of Ridgewood Park in Venice passed away quietly on May 27, 2017. She was born July 10, 1920 to Lawrence and Hannah Ellen Royer in Hastings, Michigan, the youngest of 11 Royer children. Right out of high school, she married John W. Foster, and they enjoyed over 50 years together. They moved several times, finally settling in Mt. Pleasant Michigan. Wilma worked as a secretary and enjoyed volunteering at the Ringling Museum, painting and sewing after retiring to Bradenton Florida. When macular degeneration affected her eyesight, she moved to Venice to be closer to her daughter, Ruth. She was the loving mother of 5 children, grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 13. Predeceased by her siblings, son Michael, and husband John, she is survived by son Lewis Foster (Mary) of Broomfield, CO, and daughters, Ruth Packing (Bill) of Venice, FL, Pat Marks (Don) and Jeanne Cochran (Jack Conley) of North Port, FL.
