Her story began on January 19th, 2006, when she was born to her proud mom Amanda and was welcomed home by her older brother Blaze. Her lively home welcomed even more love when Dusten entered her life in 2007, followed soon after by the arrivals of her younger brother Will in 2009, and her two younger sisters Paige and Jaylin in 2010 along with Chantel who has been a part of Alexa’s life and family since the start. In 2017, Steve came into her life bringing another layer of love and support to her world. Through every chapter of her life, she grew into a vibrant, kind-hearted woman who lifted up the spirits of everyone around her.
Alexa grew up in Saskatoon, graduated from Nutana Collegiate and spent her free time doing what she loved most. You could find her owning the court in a basketball game, riding her longboard downtown or ripping through the trails down by the river on her BMX. She had also planned to reignite her love of Jujitsu that she had picked up when she was young.
If you asked her what was most important in her life, she would likely have said her family, her friends and her animals. Hardly a day went by when she wasn’t running back home to take her beloved dogs (Harley and Jersey) out for a walk. When she loved, she loved deeply and went out of her way to make her friends and family feel safe and wrapped those she cared about in a warmth that will never be forgotten.
She is wrapped in love forever by her parents: Amanda and Ron, her bonus mom Chantel, Steve and Keighdyn, and Dusten and Kim.
Missing her always are her brothers and sisters: Blaze, Will, Paige, and Jaylin; along with her bonus sisters Alaura, and Emersyn. Her newest baby brother, Fenris, was born into her loving memory just two days after her passing.
She is also survived by her grandparents, Grandma Erla, Grandma Gayle, and Papa Shane; her aunts and uncles, Amber, Bryce, Ben, and Jeana, her cousin Andrew; Each of them carries their own memories of Alexa, and each will miss the love, laughter, and light she brought into their lives.
Those waiting to welcome her: We imagine Alexa being welcomed by her beloved Papa Greg: her Granny Pillar, Auntie Edith, great Grandma Elaine, GG, and Great Grandma Rose. She carried the love and memories of each of them with her throughout her life, and their memory will forever remain in her heart.
