Dad was born in Flensburg, Germany, on October 22, 1938. He immigrated to Canada in 1958 at the age of 19.
Dad was a very social person who made friends wherever he went. He had a love of gardening, long walks, and bike riding.
His pride and joy were his wife and family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Gloria.
His children: Brigette; Karen (Peter); Sonja (Rick) with their children Jacob & Ashley; Christian (Lisa) with their children Zachary, Dylan (Emma) & Bret; Ingrid with her children Kirsten (Hunter) and their daughter Sheridan, and Elizabeth (Vicente) and their children Emilio, Isabella, & Mateo.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Stensrud Lodge and the Palliative Care nurses at St. Paul's Hospital for the compassion and care that Dad received.
We love you and miss you, Dad.
