Anne passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital at the age 88 years. She is dearly loved and remembered by her children, Greg Medinski (Rita Savino) of Saskatoon and Barbara (Trent) Webster and grandson Keegan of Tallahassee, FL; her siblings, Bill Diakiw, Pauline (Steve) Lucyshyn, Mike Sirman, Orest (Zoria) Sirman, Therese (Vic) Skomar, and Myron (Florence) Sirman; her in-laws, Phyllis Wechnenko, Anne Pawliw and Nelson (Elinor) Medinski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, her parents, Peter Diakiw and Peter and Josephine Sirman, brother, John Diakiw, and four siblings in infancy. Anne was a devoted mother, beloved grandmother and a dear sister that left a deep impression in their hearts. She loved being a grandmother and enjoyed a special bond with Keegan. Through her life Anne had a wonderful wit and sense of humor. She was very strong and independent, and adventurous in her life and travels. She was also very generous with her time and resources. She retired in 1985 from the Canadian National Railroad. She was active in her church and the CWL. The Vigil for Anne will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25th. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 26th with Rev. Father Steve Morrisey, CSsR as the celebrant. Both Services will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (20th Street and Avenue O South). Rite of Committal will follow at the Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery. In Anne's memory donations would be appreciated to St. Mary's Parish or any of the three Hospital Foundations in Saskatoon.
