Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the age of 102 after a lengthy stay at Circle Drive Special Care Home. Annie was born on February 5, 1920, at the family homestead near Uhrynow (approx. 12 mi. SSE of Krydor, SK). The family later moved to a farm SW of Borden. She obtained work on the Yurchak Bros. dairy and grain farm at Clark's Crossing. She and Harry were married on June 12, 1943. She and Harry moved off the farm to Saskatoon in 1973. She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1998, her daughter-in-law Frances in 2010 and her son Donald in 2012. She is survived by her son Carl of Edmonton and daughter Pauline (David) of Pilot Butte, SK and daughter-in-law Marilyn of Grande Prairie, AB; six grandchildren, Michael and Scott Sefton, Daycee Evans, Vincent, Michael, and Kristy Yurchak, two great-grandsons Rohnan and Logan; two step- grandchildren Dana and Ken and six step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Yelena, brothers Paul and Steve, and sister Mary. She was a member of St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Parish and later St. Volodymyr Catholic Parish. The Vigil of Prayer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18 at Mourning Glory-Acadia McKague's Funeral Chapel followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
