We wish to honour the great life of our husband, father, grandfather and brother which ended with his family at his side on Saturday, March 7th. Art was a son of the prairie whose passions included: family, farming, education, hard work and volunteering in the community. Art spent most of his life in the Kinley district with his wife and love of his life, Marilyn. Art and Marilyn raised three daughters to whom he instilled the importance of family, work ethic, further education and generosity. Later in life, Art and Marilyn enjoyed their children and grandchildren, traveling and friends. Art is survived by his soul mate and wife, Marilyn; daughters, Cherie (Doug) Lawrence, grandsons Jason and Tyler; Carmelle (Kirk) Blomquist, granddaughters Kira and Kayla; Kristie (Thorsten Reszat) Bonstrom, granddaughter Emma; sister Dorothy Bonstrom; brother Merlyn (Mary and daughters) Bonstrom; large extended family and many friends. Art left a lasting impression to those who knew him and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The Celebration of Art’s Life will be held at Mayfair United Church (902-33rd St West) on Thursday, March 12th at 11:00 a.m. Internment will take place in Wheatfield Cemetery.
