Betty Warren passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 86 in Palliative Care SPH, Saskatoon, SK. She was born August 20th, 1940, in Carrot River, SK to Ernest and Bessie Engen. Betty and Dad met in 1956 when she was 16. She finished high school with a Business Course Diploma and started her career with CFAR Radio in Flin Flon, MB in 1956. Betty married Edward (Ted) Warren on August 22, 1958. July 1959, son Tim was born, and in October 1961, daughter Nori was born. In 1964, they moved to Esterhazy, SK, where they built a new home and started a wonderful life filled with many friends. Once the children were in school, Betty was employed with RBC and the RCMP from 1969-1974. The family moved to Rocanville, SK in 1973. She worked with Millers Farm Equipment, 1976-1978, and PCS Rocanville 1980-1981. They moved to Saskatoon, SK in 1981, and Betty was employed with PCS Cory as the HR Secretary until she retired in 2000. Betty organized all the PCS Cory employee events, and was at the door to greet the guests, they always looked forward to their "big" Betty hug.
Betty found great joy in dancing with Dad, puzzles, planting and tending to her beautiful flowers in the summer, baking delicious meals and goodies, decorating for Christmas, singing in the church choir, swimming, walking, sitting on the beach in Mexico, fishing at Jan Lake, and most of all Betty treasured spending time and making wonderful memories with her family and so many friends. No one came in or out the door without receiving her "heart to heart" hug.
Betty's faith in God was very strong. Along with singing in the church choir, she served on the
Augustana Lutheran Church Council Board, Fellowship Committee, Staff Development Committee, 90th Augustana Anniversary Committee, Call for Pastor Committee, and the Luther Care Fund Raising Committee.
