Dale was born and raised in Prince Albert, SK to parents Polly (nee Mamchur) and Claude Adams. Dale was an accomplished musician and bass guitar player receiving his talent and love of music from both of his parents. His mother, Polly was an accordion player and his father Claude, was a proud Metis fiddler. At the age of 11, Dale first performed on stage along side his father and at 17 he performed at the very first Back to Batoche Days. Dale was very fortunate to have backed up some very talented musicians over the years on many stages and was honoured to be recognized with SCMA awards by his peers. Dale looked forward to supplying the sound system for the Legion’s Canada Day celebrations at Kinsmen Park in Prince Albert, a tradition he cherished for many years. Dale’s passion for music was a defining part of his life and a gift he shared with many. He really enjoyed being up on that stage, even though he looked so serious at times. Dale also worked for Coca- Cola for many years , a role he carried out with dedication and skill.
Dale met the love of his life, Brenda Gray in 1979 in Saskatoon and they would build their life in Prince Albert, SK. They married in November, 1980 and welcomed their daughter Melissa in 1981 and their son, Steven in 1986. Dale was immensely proud of his children and took great joy in passing down his love and talent for music to them. Dale and Brenda then embraced their next chapter in life with the arrival of their only grandchild, Aidan in 2007. As a devoted Calgary Flames fan, Dale bravely endured the ultimate test of love- his only grandson cheering for the rival Edmonton Oilers.
On the rare occasion when Dale wasn’t playing music, he enjoyed spending time with his family travelling, camping, fishing, boating , looking up at the night sky for satellites or just sitting around the campfire at his favourite camping spots in Waskesiu, Anglin Lake and Delaronde Lake. Dale was not a fan of playing cards but he sure liked a good game of Trivial Pursuit or Name that Tune .
Dale had a lifelong love of dogs. He cherished the comfort and happiness all his four-legged friends brought into his life over the years. Dale also took great pride in his bass and guitar collection.
In recent years, Dale faced many health challenges , including Parkinson’s , with quiet strength and determination. Eventually, Dale and Brenda relocated to Saskatoon . Throughout this time, his resilience and steady spirit remained evident to all who cared for him and visited him, while Brenda remained faithfully by his side .
Dale was predeceased by his mother, Polly (1995); his father, Claude (2011); and his father-in-law, Jack Gray (2011).
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Brenda; his daughter, Melissa (Kevin); his son, Steven (Rhoda); his grandson, Aidan; and his two special grand-dogs Horton and Nina. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother in law, Deanna Gray, and his sisters in law, Barb (Dave) Gardiner and Bev Gray; brother Dennis (Becky) and all of his beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and his special uncle and aunt in-law, Don and Maria Mitchell.
Dale’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon for the wonderful and compassionate care Dale received over the past two years. A special thank you to Lori Enns for the weekly visits that Dale so enjoyed.
Dale valued simplicity, and at his request, no formal service will be held. We invite you to honour his memory in your own personal way.

Dale will be forever in our hearts .

Would you still remember me?
For I must be traveling on, now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see” -Lynyrd Skynyrd
