Daniel Benson

Dan passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at RUH surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Saskatoon on September 2, 1987, the son of Randy Benson and Sherry Warkentin. He graduated from City Park Collegiate in 2006. He was currently enrolled at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic where he was upgrading his skills. Dan was the go to guy if you needed anything fixed – cars, houses, gardens - he did it all. Dan is survived by his wife of 10 years Caylee Cameron; father Randy (Malcolm) and his mother Sherry. He leaves behind his brothers Jeff (Jason) and Luke (Patrick). Fondly remembered by Ralph & Rose Cameron. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and grandma Warkentin. Thanks go to the RUH Intensive Care team, especially Lisa & Susan. Thanks also go to the hematology team at RUH. Very special thanks go to Dr. D. Pearson who was Dan’s Hematologist for many years. A Celebration and Remembrance of Dan’s Life will take place on September 30th at his home, 3218 Massey Drive between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the RUH Foundation in his name.
