Daniel Danny William Forrest

April 22, 1942 – January 4, 2016

Danny passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on January 4, 2016. He will be fondly remembered for his loving heart, love of mechanics and love of hockey. Danny and his wife Gwen owned a Firestone shop for over 20 years until he retired in 2010 and worked with Adessa. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed fixing vehicles, traveling and spending time with his family- especially the grandkids. He was a genuine, kind, caring and compassionate person and everyone that knew him loved him. Danny was predeceased by his parents, Rita and William Forrest; brothers, Vern and Ritchie and sister, Marge. He is survived by his sisters, Darlene (Ed), Dolores (Ray), Bernice (late Herb) and many nieces and nephews. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gwen; daughters, Jackie (Rod), Kelly (Alan), and Joanne (Marcel); sons, Toby (Lori-Anne) and Drew; grandchildren, Lisa, Sarah, Ryan, Alexander, Kameron, Kendra, Andre, Steven, Cameron, Evan and Joel; great grandchildren, Veda, Sophia, and Bennett; as well as numerous other family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM from Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr., Saskatoon, SK). Private family interment will follow.
