Darryl Glen Smith

Darryl was born on February 25, 1970, to Brian and Judy Smith. He grew up in Ogema, Saskatchewan, then in high school his family moved to Prince Albert. Shortly after graduation, Darryl moved to Saskatoon where he began working as a mechanic at Magnum Quick Lube/ Ruben’s Auto Repair and continued to work there for more than 30 years. He loved hunting and fishing with friends and his two sons, and spending time at the cabin. He was a gifted mechanic who enjoyed helping friends with their automotive projects. His sons Makario and Rawleigh plan on carrying on his dream of restoring his first car. Darryl was also a very handy guy and was always willing to help with all kinds of home renovation projects of those near and dear to him.

Darryl is survived by his sons Makario and Rawleigh; his mother Judy; his brother Tim (Evelynn) and family, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Brian, his Uncle Bill Smith and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Holy Covenant Evangelical Orthodox Church (1426 Alexandra Avenue, Saskatoon). Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to join us for a reception, fellowship and a time of sharing.
