Dave is lovingly remembered by his wife, Arlene Callum of Saskatoon; daughters, Heather Callum and Erin Callum both of Saskatoon; mother, Elizabeth Callum of Niagara Falls; and his siblings, Charlotte Callum of Niagara Falls, Jim Callum of Niagara Falls, and John Callum of Calgary. He was predeceased by his father, Malcom Callum.
After graduation in Niagara Falls, ON, Dave took his Medical Assistant training and joined the Military. He was deployed in Cyprus and later in Turkey. Through his work in the Military he was stationed in Alberta, Quebec, and Ontario.
In his free time, Dave enjoyed golf and curling. He was a member of the Petawawa Golf and Curling Club, and the Sutherland Curling Club. Golf was a real passion for Dave, and he was an avid golfer until 2010. He even got to caddy for Mike Weir in 2016. Dave enjoyed volunteering, especially when it combined his love of curling or golf. He was also a Saskatchewan Rough Rider and Ottawa Senators fan.
Most of all, Dave loved his family and friends. He had a positive attitude and loved to have fun, “I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s forward.”
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM; viewing will be held beginning at 1:00 PM.
