Deb Rose Stangel

Deb Rose Stangel, age 36 (born September 2, 1979), passed away November 16, 2015 in Saskatoon. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Maria; her brother Jesse Stangel (Tracey Carr); sister Lisa Park(Marty) and their children Grayson and Ellis. She was predeceased by her mother Karen Stangel; father Delmar Stangel; grandparents Evelda and Armand Provost, Rosemary and Clarence Stangel. She is survived by her Uncle Jim and Aunt Colette Stangel and cousins Jamie Stangel (Shawna), Beth Groskopf (Glenn), and Tracey Senchuk (Blaine). Her close friends were also her family: Angela Young (Dale), Audra Holmstrom (Jim), Tara Loosbrock (Brett), Erin Wiens, and Gaya Arumugham. For the past 9 ½ years Deb was a successful Production Artist at the Marketing Den in Saskatoon. She will be greatly missed by her colleagues. Passionate about gardening, nutrition, reading, and environmental issues, Deb enjoyed going for walks and visiting with friends over a glass of wine and good food. Her back yard was magnificent with garden boxes overflowing with her signature tomatoes and carrots along with a variety of lovely bushes and trees. It was a delight to see the joy she got from her hobbies. She cared deeply for her friends and family and spoke with great affection about her colleagues. Deb was artistic, talented, and delightful to converse with. She adored her friends in whom she found strength and inspiration. Deb enjoyed camping with family and friends in the summer. In her love of travelling, she made more friends through her genuine, honest, and compassionate, fun loving spirit. As a single mom to her daughter, Maria, who she loved very much, Deb was always excited for Maria’s activities and offered her endless devotion and support. Her loss will leave a great void in many, many lives, and her kind, beautiful spirit will be honoured and remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Maria Stangel In Trust" at any Affinity Credit Union branch. A Celebration of Deb’s Life will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 22nd at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St, off Warman Rd), Saskatoon.
