Doug Morrison passed away peacefully at St. Ann’s Home on August 2, 2026 at the age of 82.
Doug was born and raised in Hoey, SK, and lived on the farm until 1970 when the family moved to Saskatoon. Doug had 9 siblings. He received special needs education in Bellevue, SK, but most of his younger years were spent doing chores on the farm, gardening, and driving his own small tractor. Once his parents moved to Saskatoon, Doug began collecting bottles (all over the city!) and took them to the recycling depot. He also worked at Cosmo, opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities where he bagged potting soil that was then sold in the community. Doug’s most memorable vacation was going to Disneyland with his mother, and siblings Marilyn, Evelyn, and Ken.
He enjoyed living at the Light of the Prairies group home for a number of years with his brother Donald before moving to St.Ann’s.
Doug is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Duncan (Joan), sister-in-law (Evelyn), Ken (Marlene), sisters Evelyn, Marilyn and brother Melvin and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Auxile (née Lépine), sisters Christina (Aubin Grenier), Norma ( Sylvio Gaudet ) brothers Donald and John. Nephews Léo Grenier, Chris Roy, Eric Roy.
