It is with profound sadness that the family of Elizabeth Lishchynsky announces her death at the age of 90 years on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. She leaves to mourn her sons Leonard (Shelly), Rev. Marvin, Terry (Debra), Raymond (Melanie), a son-in-law Ivan Hrynchyshyn (Judy), numerous cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and sister, Natalie Zakreski. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years Edward Lishchynsky, daughter Angeline Hrynchyshyn, parents Michael and Anne Pidskalny, her siblings Michelena Gurash, Mary Slobodian, Kazimer Pidskalny and Steve Pidskalny.
Elizabeth had a soft and gentle nature that was always welcoming, supportive, and accepting without judgment. She made everyone around her feel comfortable, safe and secure. Always smiling, she never complained through pain or loss, but was always grateful for blessings. To be in Elizabeth’s presence was to know love and thankfulness and the meaning of all things Christian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, SK at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery in Alvena, SK.
