Elizabeth Pauline Dolores Thibeault

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Dolores Thibeault of Saskatoon, SK on Wednesday, December 26, 2023, at the age of 81 years. Dolores is survived by her daughters: Jackie (Larry) and Bobbie (Dickie); grandchildren: Justin (Brigitte), Jessica, Beau, and Bailey; and three great-grandchildren. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Andrychuk, and her siblings Mary, Ralph, Olga, Carol, and Alex.

Dolores was born in Humboldt, SK and was raised on the family farm near Burr, SK until she moved to Saskatoon to further her education and a career in Nursing. A love of animals and adventure led Dolores to switch professions and become a thoroughbred horse trainer for nearly two decades where she held licenses in SK, AB, MB, AZ, KY, and OH. After several trips to the winner’s circle, countless miles travelled, and later receiving an award recognizing her contribution to Horse Racing in Saskatchewan, Dolores returned home to Saskatoon and resumed her work in caring for others until her retirement.

On behalf of Dolores and family, we want to extend our gratitude to the caregivers and hospital staff that provided dignified care and support during her time of illness and until her passing. Dolores will continue to be remembered for the kindness, compassion, and resiliency she showed throughout her life.

A family service to celebrate Dolores will be held privately.
