Millie was born on May 8, 1930 on a farm in Candiac SK. She moved from the farm to Regina and then onward to Saskatoon. Millie and Steve had their first date on September 8th, 1949 and were married May 27th, 1950. Millie loved to travel with her family and friends and always found time for a good card game; a past time she passed down to her children and grandchildren, she was also an excellent seamstress and took great pride in her rental property business.
She was a loving person who will best be remembered for her great sense of humor and generosity to all those she blessed by her presence. She was just as excellent in the kitchen baking a delicious apple strudel as she was painting a room. She was active in the church ushering, preparing lunches, and helping with the refugee program.
She loved her family and had great joy in the regular family reunions. Many will remember her at the last family reunion, one of the last people shaking it up on the dance floor.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Royal University Hospital and the Glengarda Hospice facility for their kindness and compassion shown to Millie and her family during a trying time.
If so desired, donations may be made in her name to Saskatoon Cancer Research Centre, 20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon SK, S7N 4H4.
