It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ethan Daniel Pidwerbeski on July 27, 2019.
Ethan was born in Saskatoon on October 12, 1996 and lived in the city all his life. After graduating from Marion M. Graham High School, Ethan began working as an apprentice pipefitter, attending Saskatchewan Polytechnic annually until he achieved his 3rd Year Apprenticeship status on his way to getting his ticket. Ethan was intensely proud of his trade and the work he did and was well respected by his fellow tradespersons.
Ethan was raised in a loving blended family, consisting of his mother, Rhonda Pidwerbeski and step-father Ken Prebushewski and his father, Michael Pidwerbeski and step-father, Darren Hill. Ethan grew up alongside his brother and best friend, Keegan Pidwerbeski and his stepbrothers, Austin Prebushewski and Devon Prebushewski, and was blessed to have a host of family and friends who dearly loved him. Together, they shared many adventures that included time at the lake and extensive travel.
Ethan was an amazingly gentle soul who touched the lives of those he knew. While he never really liked the spotlight, he had a clever whit, understated sense of humour, and quirky smile that endeared him to all who knew him. Most of all, he was caring and kind. Ethan is fiercely missed by his family and friends.
A private family service will take place on Friday, August 2, 2019 followed by a celebration of life for friends and family.
The celebration of life, also known as “A Celebration of Ethan’s Awesomeness”, will be held at Michael Pidwerbeski and Darren Hill’s home, 1020 King Crescent, from 7:00PM – 10:00PM. Dress code is backyard casual. This is an informal event where you can come and share your stories of Ethan, through casual conversations with those who loved him and knew him best, over some of his favourite snacks and drinks. There will be no formal presentation or mic, as Ethan would have hated that. Also, if you have a favourite picture, please print it and bring it for the memorial poster board for us to have as a keepsake.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ethan Pidwerbeski Memorial Award fund, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Advancement Office, Regina Campus, PO Box 556, Regina SK S4P 3A3. This annual award will support a young person seeking a profession in the trades. Ethan would want this award to go to the person who needs it most each year.
