
The family of Frances Corrins announce her peaceful passing at age 92 years on September 8, 2022 at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Fran was born in Hendon, SK to Joseph and Clara Kiland. She was raised in Hendon with her older sister and brothers. In her early twenties, she moved to Saskatoon where she met and married Donald Corrins. They made their home in Saskatoon for the rest of their lives. She helped and supported Don as he started and ran his own business, Empire Plumbing and Heating, by doing all of the bookkeeping and clerical work for the company for many years. In later years, she worked at local businesses doing office work. She loved gardening, always keeping a beautiful yard. Frances was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2015, her parents, and all of her siblings, including Norvald (in childhood), Arthur Kiland, Agnes Regenwetter, and Orville Kiland. She is survived by her daughter Coleen Brooks (Allan) and son Murray Corrins, her grandchildren Katie Patzwald (Tim), Fiona Corrins, and Sam Corrins, and by two great-grandchildren Arrieta and George. At Fran’s request, there will be no funeral service. Her remains will be interred in Woodlawn Cemetery with those of her husband Donald at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Aime Laventure.
