George William Hunt

February 22, 1953 - February 26, 2014

It's with great sadness that the family announces the passing of George on February 26th, 2014. George is predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary, his sisters Edith and Alma, brother Kenneth, and daughter Kim. George is survived by his wife of 30 years Maggie; children Kelly (Angie) - Jessie-Ann, Krystal (Elton) - Devin and Cameron, Eli (Heather) - Alys, Dea, Kyla - Jacob and Zachary; brothers Al (Marie), Eddie (Lorna), Victor (Shelly), Clifford, Vernon (Penny); sister Heather (Bob) Spears; in-laws Joe (Dar), Rene (Jim) and their families along with special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. George was born and raised in Rose Valley area. George spent many years as a long haul trucker, a great passion of his, and had many stories to tell to whomever would listen. In his later years George loved spending time at the lake fishing, camping, boating and spending time outdoors with family and friends. The lake became his second home. Anyone that met or knew George had a special connection with him and he will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM, at Windsor Chapel 704 Windsor Street (Corner of 8th Ave and Windsor St). Social to follow.
