After a couple of years working in Melfort, he headed to Saskatoon, before eventually going to the Alberta Oil Patch and driving trucks.
In his younger years, Gord excelled in sports but as he got older, he focused on hunting, fishing and ATV’s.
Gord had a life-changing moment when he met his future wife, Raylene. Together they spent several summers at his cabin. Gord took in Rayleen’s daughters as his own, but Rayleen’s grandson Eric was always his favorite.
Gord is survived by his stepdaughters: Amanda, Tamara and their families. His brothers Ian (Rhonda), Kelly (Charlene) and nephews Travis, Riley and their families.
Gord is also survived by Rayleen’s siblings: Shawn Denham, Laureen Sawatsky (Leonard), and Kathy Noble (John). He is predeceased by his wife, Rayleen, his parents Donna and Calvin, his in laws Lloyd and Elsie Denham and stepdaughter, Chelsea Braun.
