Gordon William Sutherland

January 21, 1934 - August 16, 2015

Gordon was born in Eston, SK and passed away at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon. Gordon is survived by his loving wife Rita; son Donald; daughters Patricia and Betty (Brian); his brother Neil; grandchildren Taylor Sutherland and Samantha Moore; as well as many nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his mother Vera Matilda; father Bill Sutherland; brothers Frank (Helen), Bert (Sandy); father-in-law Eugene, and mother-in-law Marguerite; sisters-in-law Noreen, Dora Delbrauk, Belle, and Shirley; and brothers-in-law Leonard (Anita) and Raymond (Paulette). He had a 25 years military service, including 1 year in the Korean conflict; afterwards he went on to pursue welding with Richardson's Culverts. Gordon loved sports, especially hockey, baseball, golf and curling; he also enjoyed fishing, camping, helping on the farm at harvest time and special time with his grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Avenue, Unit 26 Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20th at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (3339 Centennial Dr) with Rev. Father Gerard Cooper as celebrant.
