With sadness, Helga’s family announces her passing on August 19, 2014 at the age of 82 at St. Paul’s Hospital. Helga was born in Berlin, Germany and became a RN in England and came to Canada in 1962. Helga met her husband while working in Borden. Helga leaves behind to mourn are her husband, Carl of 50 years; her children, Sandra, Kirby and Mark; along with 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Hans, Dora and Linda. Helga and Carl were lucky to retire on the Kootenay Lake, BC and spending their winters in California. They moved back to Saskatoon last year to be closer to family. Helga loved to have gatherings with family and friends. Any memorial donations can be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Clinic. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11:00am at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street (8th Ave North & Windsor St). The burial will be at a later date with family.
