Irma’s family is sad to announce her passing on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 after suffering a fall and broken hip. Irma was born with a heart condition and at a very early age, travelled to Rochester for open heart surgery. She was a fighter and endured many a hospital stay and more surgery on her heart through the years. Irma was one of three in her family, growing up in the Donavon, SK area. Growing up in a small community meant she was all about family, visiting, going to dances, square dancing, playing cards, doing for others and working hard. She was a part of the Co-op family for over 25 years. Irma had many close friends who made sure she was a part of their outings, going to plays, A&W for coffee, movies and to the Casino!!! She was an avid lawn bowler, winning many titles and travelling all over North America to compete. She thrived on competition and loved her lawn bowling family of friends. Irma was a dedicated Nana and adored her grandchildren. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 58 years, Calvin; son Lynn (Rose) and grandsons Dexter and Zachary; son Wade (Sheila) and granddaughters Alexandra and Juliette; and brothers Don Sachs (Penny Smith) and Ken Sachs. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Marie Sachs; and her sister-in-law Judy Sachs. Special thanks to the Dr. Misfeldt, Dr. Acton and Dr. DeVilliers for their kindness and extra attention to Irma’s needs. A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan (#26 - 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9). Arrangements in care of John Schachtel - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
