James was a loving father to Steffani Kettel (Matt) and Stacie Kettel (Tyler); an adoring grandfather to Darrien Charles and Hayden Jensen; and the cherished brother of the late Patrick Cassidy (Joan), the late Thomas Cassidy (Mary), Elizabeth Courneyea (Maurice), Carol Power (Mike), Jude Cassidy (Betty Lou), Maureen Geen (Carl), the late Kathleen Cassidy, and John Cassidy. James will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Ed Fleming.
Born on August 2, 1948, James was the son of the late Helen (LaJoie) and John Edmund Cassidy. James grew up in Tweed, Ontario. While he lived most of his adult life in Saskatoon, he always considered Tweed home.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many dear friends. A private family service will be held at a later date.
