Jim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in the arms of his partner of 21 years, Gale Ehalt, and step granddaughter Kiana. Jim was born to Seth and Emma (Matthews) Claughton and grew up on a farm near Leross, SK. He trained as a heavy-duty mechanic and worked in and around Watrous and Young before moving to Outlook, where he was a business owner and rancher. Jim was an active member of AA for over 60 years and mentored many. Upon retirement in 2008, he moved to Saskatoon, where he maintained and developed many friendships within his new neighborhood and visits to Tim Hortons. Jim’s calm and caring demeanor created meaningful and trustworthy relationships. His kind soul, warm hugs, and mischievous smile will be deeply missed. At his request, there will be no service.
