It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Jim Olson who passed away surrounded by family in Biggar Hospital at the age of 67.
Jim was born on March 26th, 1958 in Kenaston, Saskatchewan and was an avid adventurer, outdoor enthusiast, and family man. He enjoyed camping, fishing, visiting his friends, travelling, and family get-togethers.
Jim never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't made yet. He was always ready to lend a hand and would give the shirt off his back to those in need. A loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Jim will be remembered by all as a big man with an even bigger sense of adventure, a boisterous laugh, and the ability to captivate anybody with his animated storytelling.
The adventures he had, the friends he made, and the life he created for himself is one that many can only dream of, and with every breath he took, he truly lived his life to the fullest. Jim wasted no day, and no opportunity passed him by.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Olson; brother, Darryl; sister, Brenda; his father-in-law Don Wall; sister and brothers-in-law, Sherry (Nic) Fortin, Cliff Bell, and Tyler (Brenda) Wall; nieces and nephews Jamie and Kathleen Bell, Raylene and Katie Fortin, Josh and Rhian Wall; and his great-niece, macy Bell. Jim was predeceased by his step-son, Cody Wall; his parents, Raymond and Marguerite Olson; and his sister Lori Bell.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada to fund research for a cure.
