Mr. Jason Thomas Baikie

Jason Thomas Baikie, known to friends as “Baikie” or “Bakes” and to his step sons as “Tulo” was born on November 14, 1973, in Happy Valley – Goose Bay, Labrador. He passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026 at St Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK.

Jason grew up in Happy Valley, Labrador and moved to the prairie provinces, Alberta and Saskatchewan, where he began his distinguished career as a Correctional Officer and Correctional Manager for the Correctional Service of Canada at Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert, SK where he worked for 25+ years. He received numerous awards for his devotion and exemplary service and contribution to the field.

Jason is survived by his wife, Larissa, two children, Deklan and Meryk, his father Thomas Baikie, his sister Leanne Lambert, brother in law – John Lambert and nephew Aiden.

Jason was predeceased by his mother – Frances Baikie.

Jason had a passion for sports – hockey, football and slow-pitch, boating, fishing and generally being at the lake.

Anecdotes from loved ones capture his love for life and the positive impact he had on those around him.
