1961 - 2016

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jesse Savino on Saturday, December 10, 2016.  After a brief illness, Jesse passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Jesse was born on December 16, 1961 in Saskatoon, SK.  Jesse will be dearly missed by his loving partner, Iffi. They enjoyed many good times together with family and friends, especially around the Sunday dinner table. Cabo San Lucas and Las Vegas were two favorite vacation destinations for Jesse and Iffi.  Jesse just completed 35 years of service with the City of Saskatoon and was looking forward to his retirement early next year. He loved spending time with his loyal canine companions, Bo and Simon, and they will miss their best friend. Jesse also had a passion for golfing and ice-fishing, all the while enjoying this time with his long-time friends. Jesse is survived by his soulmate Iffat Ahmad; his loving parents, Jim and Josie Savino; his brother, Franco, (nieces Nina (Jordan Bird) and Krista Savino); his sister, Nancy Marotta (Aniello), (niece Stefania (Derek Mochoruk), (nephew Christopher Marotta (Vicky Saysana)); his sister, Lena (Dave Boyko); his aunt Zia Antonietta Savino; as well as numerous cousins, relatives and friends. A private family funeral mass will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Family. Interment of the urn will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Jesse may be made to the Saskatoon SPCA, and SCAT Street Cat Rescue.
