The family of Joe Deutsch is deeply saddened to announce his death in Raymore after a brief illness. Joseph was the tenth child born to Karl and Agnes Deutsch in a family of eighteen children. Joe was a quiet man who farmed in Quinton area most of his life before retiring into the town of Quinton. He was known around the countryside as a talented mechanic who could fix all types of farm machinery, which he was often called upon to do. Joe is survived by his siblings, Ann Reynolds, Fanny Grand, Rudy Deutsch, Rose Hyde, Agnes (Dave) Pandachuk, Albert (Minnie) Deutsch, Stanley Deutsch, and Walter Deutsch; sister-in-law Stephanie Deutsch, brother-in-law Dave Cutler; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and extended family in Germany. He was predeceased by his siblings John Deutsch, Charlie Deutsch, William (Mary) Deutsch, Mary (Charlie) Kauth, Bertha Deutsch, Elizabeth (Norbert Schuller), Henry (Gladys) Deutsch, Tillie Cutler, and sister Clara in infancy; in-laws, Roy Grand, Roy Reynolds, Kay Deutsch, and Alma Deutsch, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 14th at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Quinton, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Parish, Quinton, SK Rite of Committal will follow in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
