Joyce Henderson

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Joyce Lorraine Henderson on July 12, 2021. Born and raised in Weyburn, Mom moved to Regina for nurses training after high school and when dad stole her heart they moved to Saskatoon in 1951, eventually calling Montgomery Place home. Christmas was Mom’s favorite time of year and camping at Waskesiu Lake her favorite summertime vacation. She always enjoyed being active, working at the Bay, exercising, riding her bike, swimming at the Y, walking or playing cards and socializing with friends and family. We miss her cooking, family meals and celebrations, rice and peas, Yorkshire pudding and vigor and spirit that reflected her personality, never missing the fun opportunities around her. Mom was the Matriarch that glued and continues to keep our family together. Mom is loved and will be missed by her children Roxanne (Rich), Wendy, and favorite son Blaine who gave her so much joy; grandchildren Curtis (Melissa), Regan (Regan), Trent (Trish), Emily (Brad), Kirk, Joel (Aida); 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Heather (Wayne) and Marilynn (Rob). We will celebrate mom’s life with a private gathering at a later time. Thank you to the staff and her friends at Primrose Chateau and the caring staff at Healthy Life Care Home.
