The family of Juliette (nee St. Amand) Poulin is sad to announce her passing on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Royal University Hospital at the age of 94. She was born in Zenon Park, SK on December 30, 1926. She married the love of her life Henri Poulin, a local farmer, on October 24, 1945. They farmed in Zenon Park until their retirement. Juliette and Henri raised a family of seven children. The family was deeply saddened by the death at age five of Daniel, the youngest son, in a tragic car accident in 1973. Henri and Juliette were very involved in their local community and the provincial Francophone community. Henri would invite people over to the house and, on a moment’s notice, Juliette would provide amazing meals for them. They loved to entertain family and friends. They spent many years wintering and socializing in Arizona. In 2008, Maman sold her home in Zenon Park and relocated to Saskatoon, moving to St. Ann’s Residence where she renewed acquaintances and made many new friends. In the summer of 2019, she moved to Cedar Gardens until her recent hospitalization. She lived a full life but found the visiting restrictions from COVID in the last year difficult. “Chère maman, tu as été un modèle pour nous d’un amour conjugal sans limites avec Henri, ton partenaire de vie, et, de l’amour dans le service aux autres. Vous allez nous manquer énormément.” Juliette was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Loretta (Goyer) St. Amand, her husband Henri, by three sons, Lucien (Nicole Tardif), Julien and Daniel, a daughter Madeleine (Gédéon, deceased) Denis and three brothers: Lucien, Adrien (aka Dice) and Gilbert (aka Buck) and a sister Aurore (Russell Yates; Leonard Gauthier). Left to mourn her are a daughter-in-law Nicole (Lucien, deceased), three daughters Murielle (Normand) Denis, Jeannine Poulin (Wilfrid Denis) and Valérie Poulin (Robert Allard, deceased), 28 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren. Also, among her surviving siblings are two sisters, Florence (Bert) Chabot, and Pauline (Albert) Denis and two sisters-in-law, Lorraine (Maurice; Gordon) Sirois-Bugg and Agnes (Lucien) St. Amand. A Private Family Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 with livestreaming available at www.aspenfilms.ca/mg . Interment to follow later this summer in Zenon Park. Arrangements in care of Travis Minor - Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
