Mom loved gardening especially her flowers, with her granddaughter Ashley as her sidekick. Her and dad enjoyed watching the birds outside the picture window and then checking her bird book to see if she could identify them. She spoiled her cat Max until she was too sick to look after him. Mom loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed having the grandchildren stay overnight at the house. She was a very generous and giving person and always stayed in touch with family and friends by phone and letters. Mom loved visiting with people, and she would tell everyone she was named June for the month of June. She enjoyed all holidays especially Christmas and decorated the house, tree and anything else that needed decorating as well as cooking the turkey with all the trimmings for the whole family. The funeral will be held at the Acadia Funeral Home, 915 Acadia Drive on Friday, August 13 at 2:00 pm. Lunch to follow at the Funeral Home. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be buried beside Doug in the Zelma Cemetery at a later date.
