Laura was born in Saskatoon, SK on September 18, 1991. She grew up in many places including Saskatoon, Melfort, James Smith Cree Nation with her aunt and Whitecap Dakota Nation with her parents and siblings.
Laura was well known for her humor, laughter, and ability to light up any room that she entered. Laura was a hard worker, motivated and determined. She could do anything she set her mind to.
On August 2, 2026, Creator called Laura home at the age of 34. She leaves to mourn her children Taleisha Brittain, Harmony Kaye, Owen Kaye, Jace Brittain; her siblings Stephanie Bear(Joe), Heather Brittain, Paris Brittain (Cole), Rebecca Brittain (Dakota), Travis, Stepmother Cindy and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
Predeceased by her father Anthony Brittain, her mother Maxine Bear, her maternal grandparents Roseanna & Ralph Royal, her paternal grandparents Marshall & Edna Brittain, and her maternal grandfather Melvin Littlecrow.
A Wake Service will be held at Charles Red Hawk Elementary School in Whitecap Dakota Nation on August 7, 2026 at 4:00 pm, and a Funeral Service will be held at Charles Red Hawk Elementary School in Whitecap Dakota Nation on August 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
