

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Earl Larson of Saskatoon. Lloyd was born in Melfort to Peter (Willy) and Mae Larson on May 5, 1939. He was raised on the farm in the Falcon School District North of Kinistino. Lloyd took his elementary schooling at Falcon and grades 9 and 10 at Pahonan. After grade 10, Lloyd worked for various farmers including his Uncle Jim Audette and Leif Olson. He then helped build homes with Ray Eros and Jim Reeder. Lloyd then moved to Saskatoon where he worked for Intercontinental Packers for 32 years, retiring at age 60. In 2000, he married Lorraine Christianson of Kinistino whom he had known since they were teenagers. Lloyd and Lorraine spent many, many years enjoying their children, grandchildren and a great grandchild, many activities, traveling Saskatchewan, live theatre, church and coffee row with many of their good friends. For 9 years, Lloyd enjoyed going back to his roots by helping with seeding and harvest at the farm of Natalie and Omar Bolen. Lloyd appreciated and loved working with all the John Deere equipment. He was also very faithful to the PA Mintos, Saskatoon Hilltops, Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Edmonton Oilers.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Lorraine of 23 years; Lloyd’s children and grandchildren with his first wife; Lisa (Shaun) Banman, Duske (Solo), Elizabeth, Nickolas, Elaina (Sam); Jana (Carlo) Buffone, Jack, Lily, Emma. Stepchildren; Tammie (Tim) Leonard, Landon, Lexi (Vince); Natalie (Omar) Bolen, Shannon (JJ), Luke, Brooke (Logan); Doug (Lisa) Christianson, Kaley (Bob) Spigott, and son Jett; Kristy (Shawn), Tyson (Julie). His brother Ted (Diane) Larson and nieces and nephews. Lorraine’s siblings; Marge (Lorne) Sinclair; Bud(deceased) (Judy) Holmes; Dorothy (Wilbert) Holmgren; Sam (Sandy) Holmes; Arthur (Shelley) Holmes and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Willy and Mae Larson, brother Cliff Larson, grandparents Lars and Christina Larson, Albert and Tilda Johnson.
He was a great man and leaves many, many friends who will also miss him.
