After almost a month on life support, his family bid him farewell as he left to join his deceased relatives and friends.
Marcel is survived by his loving companion Natalie Berrecloth, children Christian (Melissa) and grandson Roman, daughter Melanie and youngest son Jason, brother Lionel (Joanne) and his friend and ex-wife Lorraine Gibney. He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Jeanne (nee Jullion) Regnier, and a sister Annette at 3 years of age.
Marcel was born on February 02, 1954 at North Battleford Hospital. The family moved to Prince Albert where he attended St Paul elementary school and St Mary High. He was accepted into the University of Saskatchewan graduating with a Civil Engineering Degree. Marcel established his own Engineering and Consulting Firm (Reinger Engineering- Regnier spelled backwards as he loved to tell people) as well as worked for other Engineering firms during his career. In his younger years, Marcel was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed a good and not so good round of golf whenever he could. He was a diehard Montreal Canadian fan. Marcel spent many summers at the family cabin in Waskesiu boating, fishing and appreciating the outdoors. He took pleasure in foraging and finding mushrooms which he happily cooked worms and all. He loved to cook and many culinary experiments were consumed and appreciated by his family. On most Sunday mornings, Marcel could be found watching Coronation Street with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
Marcel had his demons and struggled with them which ultimately led to poor health and a contributing factor in his demise.
A Memorial Service will take place in the summer of 2023 and he will be buried at Memorial Gardens in Prince Albert with his parents.
Arrangements entrusted to Aimé Laventure.
