Margaret Anne Moroz

Margaret Anne Moroz, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. Born on February 2, 1939, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Margaret's life was marked by kindness, creativity, and community spirit. In 1959, Margaret married Edward Moroz, and together they built a beautiful life in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Margaret was an active member of her church, where she sang in the choir, sharing her love of music. She was a multi-talented artist, passionate about art, music, gardening, and flower arranging. Margaret worked for many years at Cory Park Greenhouse, a place where her love for plants blossomed. Margaret shared her musical talents widely. She was a member of the Happy Music group, sang with the Sweet Adelines choir, as well as performed in musical theatre with Gateway Players. She brightened the stages with her joy of music through her beautiful voice and love for performance. Margaret’s devotion to community extended to countless volunteer activities. She served on the Board of Directors at St. Ann's Seniors Residence for several years. She used her crocheting skills to create well over a hundred blankets for family, friends, and women’s shelters. As an avid blood donor, Margaret gave over 50 donations in her lifetime. She also volunteered as “Muggsie” the clown, bringing cheer to hospital patients with her wit and warm spirit. Margaret is survived by her children Gerry Moroz (Michele), Eileen Steinke (Elvin), and Dave Moroz (Peri); grandchildren Kurt, Calvin, Lucas, and Maggie; great-grandson Huey; and sister Cathy. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; son, Ted; grandson, Josh; great grandson Rowan, parents John & Christine, and sister Chris. Margaret’s warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched and the love she shared with her family, friends, and community. Arrangements entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt.
