Marguerite Lucile Shepherdson

Mom was born on November 6, 1938, to parents Eli and Vera Popochenko of Biggar, SK. She grew up on the family farm with her older sister Nina and younger sister Annette and attended school in town. Often, if one sister was there, the other two were never far behind.

Mom was predeceased by her parents Eli and Vera Popochenko; her sister and brother-in-law, Nina and Wink Finn; brother-in-law Leverne Nash; and her life companion Ivan Tymchak.

Mom is survived by her children: Lori, Don, Debbie (Rick), and Leslie (Wes); Grandchildren: Ashley (Nick), Justin (Kaylee), Richelle (Joél), and Kennedy (Lance); and Great Grandchildren: Roe, Collins, Greyson, Carson; also many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family.

Mom worked at Sears Canada as a Sales Associate, for over 40 years. Mom loved summers spent at the family cabin surrounded by her entire family and friends. Mom and Ivan also enjoyed travelling, which took them to Hawaii, Palm Springs, Phoenix, Las Vegas and many places in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

A special thank you to Angelita and the staff at Rebecca’s Care Home for the loving care and compassion you provided Mom over the past three years. You became part of Mom’s family, and for that we are deeply grateful.
