

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Marion was born in Tisdale, SK on August 22, 1945 to George and Edna Patterson. In 1990 she married the love of her life, Delbert. Surrounded by her family she passed away peacefully on October 10, 2011.
Marion worked for the Saskatoon Public School Board, as a teacher’s associate. She loved her work with both special needs children and adults.
Marion loved spending time with her family and friends, volunteering in Civil Air Search and Rescue, going to the lake, golfing, dancing, fishing and socializing. When Marion was young she excelled in many sporting activities, while later in life watching hockey, curling and the Riders.
Marion’s kindness, love and laughter touched the hearts of many. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by her family and all those whom were lucky enough to have known her.
She leaves to mourn; her husband Delbert; daughter Troylene (Glenn) Walker; son Todd (Betty) Patterson; four grandchildren Robin, Lindsey, Logan and Daniel; brothers George (Trudy), Tom (Sheila), Bob (Dale); sister Margaret; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her parents; brother John; sister Debbie and three other infants.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital for the kindness and care provided to Marion during her final days. At Marion’s request, there will be no funeral Service. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date.
