October 23, 1946 - April 8, 2014
Mary, age 67, passed away suddenly in her home on April 8, 2014. Mary is survived by her dearest son, Dan (Pam), Vancouver; her cherished sister, Camille; and her former husband John. Mary was born and raised in Defiance, OH and graduated with a B.Sc. from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI. In 1973, she arrived in Saskatoon where she enjoyed living the rest of her life. In Saskatoon, Mary worked with Planned Parenthood, the Alvin Buckwold Centre, and for over 20 years with the Saskatoon Public School Board as a Library Technician. Mary had a lifelong love of reading, she followed current events closely, and she never missed doing the daily crossword, in pen. She touched many friends with her gentle kindness and generous heart. Her sister and lifelong confidant, Camille, remembers Mary's strength in coping with a debilitating chronic health condition. Dan, Mary's son, will always draw his strength from the loving and nurturing home his Mom provided. A Liturgy Celebrating Her Life will be held on Monday, April 21st, 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor St., with Rev. Father Nestor Gregoire, OMI presiding. Arrangements in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306-978-5200).
