Michal Pigula

Mike passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2025 at Royal University Hospital. Mike was 1 of 9 children born to parents John and Mary Pigula. He was born in Fosston, Saskatchewan on March 17, 1941. Mike and brother John, lived and worked their family farm in St. Front Saskatchewan. Mike and John sold the farm in 2005. Mike would live out his years in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Mike found love later in life. It was only a few short months after Mike and Jeanette met on September 20th, 2002, and 1 date later that they were purchasing their new home together in December 2002 and would be married February 14th, 2003.

Mike was a natural caregiver; he cared for his mother till she passed. Being a family man came easy with Jeanette and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved them as if they were all his own.

Mike was an avid hunter and enjoyed farming, gardening, helping in the kitchen and with odd jobs around the house. Most of all he loved his family.

Mike will forever hold a special place in our hearts. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, stepchildren, Jason (Kendra) Derr and Tammy (Jeff) Smith. Step grandchildren, Shayna Durcher, Kaeden Nixon, Joshua Nixon, Ave Nixon, Matias Nixon, Jasmine (Verschiell) Holian, Ryen Crepaz and William Smith. Step great grandchildren; Greyson Fehr- Macdonald, Asher Lagos Holian and Isabella Lagos Holian.

Mike also leaves to mourn his passing siblings, John Pigula (Lillian Soderholm), Eileen Pigula, Alex (Janis) Pigula and numerous nieces and nephews.
