He leaves to mourn his wife of 65 years, Alice; his son Barry (Diana, Kaitlyn, and Braedyn); his daughters Lorrie (Mackenzie) and Linda Sivertson (Kelly, Kyra Reid (Austin)), Aaron, and Katie (Dallis)); brother William Demish (Betty); sisters-in-law Irene Paskaruk and Mavis Regenwetter; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family from B.C. to Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters, and several other family members.
Norman was born on a farm near the small town of Barford, SK. and grew up in the McKague district. Most of his adult life was spent working as a rail welder for C.P. Rail. He was an avid sports fan, liked to curl and bowl, but especially loved his Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Rough Riders. After retirement, we made many bus trips to watch the Jays play, also enjoyed going on several cruises.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street) in Saskatoon. Dress is casual, and sports clothing is acceptable.
Donations may be made in his honor to Oliver Lodge (1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK. S7L 3R5) https://oliverlodge.ca/donate/ or to a charity of your choice.
Special Thanks to staff in Oliver Lodge for their Compassionate care to "Papa Norman"
