Born to Christian Linn and Emma (D’Aoust) Linn, O.J. spent his childhood in Torquay, Saskatchewan, where he occasionally—and sometimes reluctantly—attended boring classes! Even in his early years, O.J. was his own person, and he certainly knew how to leave his mark.
On October 6, 1962, O.J. married the love of his life, Patricia (Mack). Together, they farmed near Lang, Saskatchewan, for 25 years, building a life filled with hard work, love, laughter, and family. It was there that they raised their five children: Brennan, Blaine, Tina, Tessa, and Tanya. Over the years, their family grew to more than 50 members, including many grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with two more little ones under construction! O.J.’s greatest legacy will undoubtedly live on through the generations of family who loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, his brother Nathan, his sister Faith, and many beloved, extended family members.
OJ’s passion in life was to create, innovate and explore. He led a life full of memorable adventures, and stories, and no doubt those who knew him have a few favourite stories of their own. His presence will be deeply missed, but the laughter, love, and memories he leaves behind will continue to be shared for years to come and will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
A debt of gratitude is owed to Samaritan Place in Saskatoon, SK. where O.J. received exceptional care, dedication, compassion over the past three years. Their kindness and hospitality given to his family and friends throughout his time there made a meaningful difference.
OJ’s family extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who was part of his care.
A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in OJ’s memory, to a cancer, heart health, or dementia foundation of your choice.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and NEVER forgotten.
