Mrs. Patricia Jeannine Jeannine Mooney Garman

Jeannine was born July 27, 1954 at Imperial, Saskatchewan. She was the 11th of 12 children born to Martha Hignett and William Mooney. Jeannine loved growing up on the family farm and was often seen dancing in the fields and climbing the barn roof. She was a natural athlete with a competitive side, excelling at track and field. She attended Imperial School through grade eleven, graduating from high school in Burnaby, B.C. While in Burnaby, Jeannine worked for the Public Library and Nails 'N Lashes; and when she moved to Saskatoon she worked for The Fitness Studio, Paramount Beauty Salon, and Family Service Bureau.

In 1979 Jeannine married Henry Garman, and together they raised four children (Elenna, Matthew, Julie, Kimberly) on an acreage near Grandora, seven miles outside Saskatoon. Jeannine was a devoted mother and a loving grandmother who delighted in telling the story of delivering her first granddaughter (Taliyah) in an emergency home birth.

Jeannine had a great appreciation for the beauty of nature. Taking long walks in the countryside was a favorite activity. Flowers and frost were favorite photographic subjects. Painting with acrylics, writing stories, playing the game of "charades" with family and friends were fun activities. Jeannine played piano and many percussion instruments, and shone when she praised her Lord with her creative and expressive liturgical dances. She was dramatic, humorous and often laughed so hard she cried. Researching the origin of words and created new ones was a fascinating pastime.

Jeannine's strong values and faith were vibrant during her tenth month illness. She was incredibly positive and a true spiritual warrior despite the challenge of a very aggressive cancer, and her faith, trust in God, resilience and graciousness will remain a beacon of light for those she left behind. Jeannine was dedicated to intercessory prayer for others, never complaining, reminding us of the importance of seizing the day.

Jeannine is lovingly remembered by her husband, Henry; her four children Elenna, Matthew, Julie and Kimberly; grandaughters Taliyah and Ava; her sisters Joyce, Carrol, Sherron, Linda and Gayle; brothers Ed, Dan, Erin and Jim; her many relatives, friends and everyone who was touched by her incredible spirit.
