Randy, 65 years old, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Dearly loved son of Frederick and Olga Dittmar, both deceased. Precious brother of Wayne (Lorna) Dittmar of Prince George, BC and Tim (Mary) Dittmar of Whitby, ON. He was predeceased by his sister, Valerie, and his wife, Joanne. Randy is survived by his stepson, Christopher Rendall, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends, most notably, Doug Trost, of Saskatoon. A gentle and kind-hearted man who endured more than his share of life’s storms, Randy had lived with the effects of Parkinson’s disease for the last 15 years. His prior working life had been in the field of sales, at which he excelled. He was a devoted Roughrider and Toronto Blue Jay’s fan. Despite the encroaching limitations of the disease, Randy generously donated much of his time and effort as Chairman of the Saskatoon Chapter of the Parkinson’s Support Group. It was work he loved, which gave his later life purpose and direction. Randy has been cremated and will be interred with Joanne, the love of his life. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1 at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation are appreciated. Arrangements in care of John Schachtel – MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES (306) 978-5200.
