

God saw Rochelle getting weaker and relief from her infirmities was not to be so. He wrapped His arms around her and whispered, “come with me”. Rochelle accepted that invitation from God she’d known and trusted since childhood and quietly left us on the afternoon of Friday, April 3, 2026, at 3:30 pm (Good Friday).
She has joined her mother, Margo; father, Guy; brothers Kevin and Garvin; and a heavenly host of family and friends.
Born on August 3, 1946, in Edmonton, Alberta to Guy and Margo Sirois she was the older sister for Kevin, Neil, and Garvin Sirois. The family moved to Red Deer, Alberta. Her early education was in Red Deer.
In 1964 she enrolled in the Edmonton General Hospital School for Nurses. She graduated in 1967. Later, she enrolled at the University of Alberta to get her Public Health.
During her long career in nursing, she worked for V.O.N., Public Health, hospitals, doctor’s officers, occupational health and safety, nursing homes and St. Paul’s Hospital.
Rochelle and Jim were married in Red Deer on July 11, 1970, at St. Mary’s Parish by Fr. W Merx, OMI. They lived in Edmonton, Ottawa, Vancouver, Red Deer, and Saskatoon.
Rochelle had many things in her life that were of great importance to her: faith, family, friends, nursing, music (piano) and gardening.
Rochelle will be fondly remembered as a generous, hardworking, self-sacrificing, loving and devoted wife and mother.
The family expresses gratitude to the Sisters and staff at St. Joseph’s Home in Saskatoon for their love and great personal care in looking after Rochelle.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Place) Saskatoon, SK on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 am. Rite of committal will follow in July or August 2026 at Red Deer, Alberta in the family plot.
