Sharron was born in Grenfell on July 25, 1947 and passed away on August 14, 2026 in Saskatoon. She went to Summerhill School and was active with 4H. She finished high school in Grenfell. Following graduation she moved to Regina to work for SaskPower. There she made life long friends in Donna and Al Herman. She returned to Grenfell and married Don Ulmer in 1967. She worked for TD Bank in Grenfell until Kym was born in 1972. She spent her spare time curling, gardening, helping family and friends, and volunteering. She moved to Victoria in 1981 and back to Saskatoon in 1982. In Saskatoon, she worked for the TD Bank, Universal Career College and Wheaton GM before retiring in 2012. She was blessed with three grandsons. From 2005-2016 she and her mother lived together until Mom’s passing in 2016. They played many games of cribbage and never missed a CFL game ~ especially a Rider game ~ or a curling championship on TV. Mom affectionately called her “Mrs. Karcher” as she was always cleaning. Sharron and Marie and Mom vacationed in Florida and Hawaii, and cruised through the Panama Canal.
If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan or the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan in memory of Sharron.
