He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce and children, Elizabeth (Bruce), Sandra (Rae), Hugh (Lucille|), Peggy (Bob), Wade (Lynda), Lyle (Debbie), 21 grandchildren and 37 great children. He was also blessed with many bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren which were added to the family through marriage.
After his retirement from the Saskatoon Police Service, Bud and Joyce lived life to the fullest, enjoying winters in Arizona and many trips through Canada and abroad. Being a true country boy raised on the family farm in Beechy, SK, he cherished the outdoors, nature and was an avid conservationist.
Most of all, he showed his family that life does not need to be complicated and it does not need to be extraordinary to be worth celebrating. We can only hope that we are fortunate enough to build a life like his, with dedication to family, loyalty to friends, and humility. Yours was a life to be celebrated and we are grateful it was a part of ours.
The family is very grateful to all the staff and nurses at Circle Drive Special Care Home, who supported Bud. A huge thank you to Tim for brightening his days.
Bud will be missed by all that knew him and at his request there will be no formal funeral service. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
