With broken hearts, the family announces the passing of Tyson Pederson on May 5, 2026, at the age of 45, following a courageous battle with cancer. Tyson’s presence was a steady anchor for his family, and he will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife of 19 years, Ulyana, and their three children: Jade (12), Tavien (10), and Elysse (8).
Tyson’s life was deeply rooted in family and his memory will be in the hearts of his parents, Dayle and Judy (Forrester) Pederson, along with his sister, Dieta (Russ Snider), and their children: Autumn (16), Aspen (13), and Kohlton (10); his sister, Alesha (Justin Bloor), and their children: Ruby (12) and Nash (10); his brother, Shea (Kayla Rath), and their children: Logyn (10) and Danae (9); and his brother, Rhett as well as numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins along with their families.
Tyson was warmly welcomed into Ulyana’s family and became a meaningful part of their lives. He will be dearly missed by Ulyana’s parents, Emilia and Wasyl Isak and brother Pavlo Isak (Suzanne Henderson), and their children Alex (7), Mila (2), and Maksym (1 month).
Tyson was known for his strong work ethic and natural curiosity, especially when it came to understanding how things worked and how to fix them. That inventive mindset began early on the family farm and continued into his studies, where he went on to complete a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics (P. Eng.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Saskatchewan. It was during his time at university that he met the love of his life, Ulyana, and the two were later married. Tyson went on to build a diverse and accomplished career, and for the past 13 years he proudly built and managed his own company.
Tyson loved being a father. He was actively involved in his children’s lives, whether it was helping with piano lessons, coaching hockey, working through math homework, or supporting them in all they pursued. He was always willing to teach and share his knowledge, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Tyson enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, biking, and golfing. He had a natural gift for bringing people together and was always thinking ahead, planning trips and imagining new places for family adventures. Tyson was known for having an open door and took great joy in hosting family gatherings. Tyson and Ulyana’s home became a natural gathering place, often filled with evenings around the bonfire, time in the hot tub, children playing and lots of laughter. These memories will be held close and cherished forever.
His life leaves behind a legacy of leadership, wisdom, faith, and family. The impact he had on the people who loved him will continue on.
Tyson will be honored with an Evening Prayer Service & Remembrance on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. at Mourning Glory Acadia McKague Funeral Chapel. The family will receive guests for a viewing one hour prior to the service.
On Thursday, May 14, family and friends are welcome to attend a Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. At 1:30 p.m., Tyson will be honored with a Celebration of Life at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Lunch and fellowship will follow.
All our Welcome to Attend both days of services to Celebrate the Life of Tyson
