It is with great sadness that the family of Verna Irvine announces her passing after a short stay at the Hospice of Glengarda. Verna was predeceased by her parents, by the love of her life – her husband Henry (Hank) Irvine (1995), her brother Donald Quiring (2013) and her son-in-law Darrell Yuzik (1989). Left behind to mourn her passing is her sister Gladys Jeeves, Lori Jansen (Kelly Shaw), Carol Irvine (Kevin McPeek), Sheryl Yuzik (Dave Smith), David Irvine (Colleen); her grandchildren Scott Irvine (Britney) – Alice and Penny; Blake Irvine (Melissa) – Bennett and Kayce. Verna was devoted to her family, many friends, and her church. She will live on through those who loved her most. The family would like to thank the compassionate care team at the Hospice at Glengarda, Client Patient Access Services (CPAS), Home Care and the nurses who made it possible for Mom to stay in her own home until the end. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan or to St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. At Verna’s request a private family service will be held at a later date.
